Lottery
Dream Big, Win Bigger!
The Diversity Visa (DV) Lottery, commonly known as the Green Card Lottery, is a unique opportunity for individuals from eligible countries to apply for permanent residency in the United States. The program is designed to promote diversity in the U.S. immigration system by offering visas to applicants from countries with historically low immigration rates to the U.S.
Each year, the U.S. government allocates 50,000 visas through this lottery, providing a pathway to live, work, and study in the U.S. legally. Winners of the lottery, along with their eligible family members (spouse and unmarried children under 21), can obtain lawful permanent resident (LPR) status, commonly known as a Green Card, which grants them:
✔️ The right to live and work anywhere in the U.S.
✔️ Access to better job opportunities and higher wages
✔️ The ability to pursue higher education at U.S. institutions with resident tuition benefits
✔️ Eligibility for social security benefits and other government programs
✔️ A path to U.S. citizenship after meeting residency requirements
Unlike other immigration programs, the DV Lottery does not require a job offer, employer sponsorship, or family sponsorship, making it one of the most accessible ways to gain permanent residency in the U.S. However, applicants must meet education or work experience requirements and adhere to strict application guidelines to qualify.
To qualify for the DV Lottery, applicants must:
✔️ Be from an eligible country (countries with low U.S. immigration rates)
✔️ Have at least a high school diploma or two years of work experience in a qualifying occupation
✔️ Meet the photo and application requirements set by the U.S. Department of State
📝 Step 1: Submit an application online through the official U.S. government website (free of charge)
